At this point the boat is, in effect, done with the exception of touching up the paint. Attention has
now turned to new engine build. I’ve been doing research and collecting parts. The goal is to build
a 501ci Blown Alcohol engine for Quarter Flash.
Neither of the blocks previously purchased seem suitable for this project considering the money invested in the other components so it was decided to order a Ford A460 racing block.
This block is back ordered but is expected to be delivered in December 2021.
The block is rated up to 1500 HP. Since the prop shaft is only rated to 1200, I can't afford to get too crazy here.

Add Screw in freeze plugs. Main girdle and studs in place so clearance for oil pump can be clecked. Oil filter adapter in place just to verify angle.
